My first love, where have you gone
My first love is summer (the season not a girl named summer). As i sit in my dorm in Greenville, S.C. in mid January with the temperature fluctuating from thirty to fifty degrees, my mind drifts home to the beautiful shores of Myrtle Beach,S.C.. Myrtle Beach is rated the third largest vacation spot in the country. When the air begins to warm and the sun begins to shine a little longer and stronger, the city begins to come alive. The days get nicer and the streets get more crowded as people come from all over to my hometown for one reason or another whether searching for relaxation, parties, concerts, attractions, or just sitting on the beach with no plans. The temperature keeps rising till the ocean is nice and warm then the fun begins. Any time you get a spare minute all you have to do is call a friend and say "Let's hit the beach" and the plans begin you round up everyone and drive as fast as you can till the sand is under your feet. The attitude of the city is laid back and relax because everyone is there to have a good time whether local or tourist. You can feel summer in the air and in the smiles of those around you as the whole city fills with a joy that spring is over and summer is here. A season filled with long days and late nights, friends, cars, music, board shorts, and bikinis that's my love.
